Our students need to know that there is no one India that we all represent and learn about. Especially the students who attend schools in metro cities and belong to privileged classes. They need to know the social, economic, cultural, political ecosystem they are part of. It is our (school and educationists) responsibility to consciously give our students a reality check – on the interdependence and the nature of relationship we share with people unlike us.
