On a bright Saturday morning, The Orchid School hosted the STREAM with Parents activity for Grade 4 students and their parents. This engaging event was carefully crafted to foster teamwork, strengthen parent-child bonds, and encourage curiosity through the lens of Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STREAM).
The highlight of the session was the exciting Paper Airplane Challenge — “How far can your paper plane fly?” Participants explored three innovative launching methods: a full-arm swing, a simple wrist flick, and a creative catapult mechanism. Each method encouraged different forms of critical thinking, design iteration, and problem-solving — all while having fun.
This interactive experience was more than just play; it was an invitation to explore scientific principles, build communication skills, and create lasting memories. Through collaboration, curiosity, and a spirit of joyful learning, students and parents discovered the true essence of STREAM education at The Orchid School.
