Grade XI students from The Orchid School in Baner recently visited SOFOSH’s Shreevatsa Child Care Center to learn about the comprehensive care provided to underprivileged and orphaned children there. This visit, part of the Life Skills Orientation (LSO) module, aimed to give students a deeper understanding of the crucial role organizations like SOFOSH play in protecting vulnerable children’s rights and ensuring their overall well-being.
During the visit, students interacted with the center’s staff and volunteers, gaining valuable insights into the processes involved in nurturing and rehabilitating children through government-recognized adoption programs. This experience helped students grasp the significance of empathy, responsibility, and advocating for child welfare.
Established in 1973, SOFOSH’s Shreevatsa Child Care Center has been a refuge for underprivileged and orphaned children, including those with special needs aged from newborn to six years.
