At The Orchid School, literature is not just a subject – it is a journey into imagination, expression, and discovery. To celebrate this spirit, our Grade XI students organized “Bookmark: Literary Fest”, a vibrant initiative dedicated to exploring the lives and works of some of the world’s most renowned authors.
The weeklong festival turned classrooms into spaces of creativity and engagement. Students showcased research-based presentations on celebrated writers such as Sudha Murthy, William Shakespeare, Ruskin Bond, J.K. Rowling, Agatha Christie, Dan Brown, and many more. Their thoughtful work brought alive the unique writing styles, themes, and literary contributions of each author.
To make the sessions more interactive and fun, students introduced pop-up quizzes, surprising the audience with quick challenges and rewarding winners with goodies. One of the highlights was the Mystery Writer Section, where students presented an exciting murder mystery case-solving activity inspired by detective fiction, keeping the audience curious and engaged till the very end.
The festival was not just about learning—it was about living literature. Students explored, analyzed, and reinterpreted the works of great authors while engaging their peers in the joy of reading and critical thinking.
Bookmark: Literary Fest stands as a testimony to the power of student initiative, creativity, and collaboration. It truly celebrated the universal appeal of literature while enhancing language proficiency, intellectual growth, and a love for books among both students and teachers.
