Sing Along with Parents Grade 1

The grade 1 students at The Orchid School along with their parents participated in a sing along event – an event where students and parents sang poems together. This event is conducted to showcase the learning poweress of all the languages as students sing poem in English, Hindi, and Marathi. The parents loved this session as they re-lived their childhood by singing songs and poems as they remembered their school days and the parents appreciated the school’s effort to make language learning easier through poems. Language is an important aspect of self-reflection, and the biggest communication tool. Poem recitation offers an opportunity to know the language along with melody, improve memory and focus, master public speaking, making the learning experience joyous.

The children beamed with enthusiasm and pride as they performed the poems they had diligently practiced. The parents were happy, and their faces lit up with joy seeing their children singing poems and rhymes in a harmonized manner accompanied with coordinated actions. Teachers were happy to see their students confidently expressing themselves in multiple languages.

The session was a heartwarming event as it signifies the importance of parents’ involvement in education. Such events not only foster a love for learning but also strengthen the bond between the school and the families it serves. The sing-along event is not only a showcase of linguistic skills but also a celebration of unity, culture, and the timeless joy of music and poetry.
