Grade 1 Krishna Janmashtami Celebration at TOS

Our Grade 1 students at TOS joyfully celebrated Krishna Janmashtami, embracing the festive spirit with enthusiasm and creativity. Dressed as Shree Krishna and Radha, the children looked adorable in their traditional attire, bringing alive the essence of the occasion.

The celebration began with the teachers enacting a captivating play depicting the birth of Lord Krishna, immersing the students in the divine story. This was followed by a lively dance performance, where both teachers and students rejoiced together in the spirit of the festival.

Students also got hands-on experience in making butter from malai, a fun activity that connected them with the story of Krishna, famously known as the ‘Makhan-Chor.’ They learned the process of butter- making, blending tradition with practical learning.

During the celebrations, students engaged in the ‘Dahihandi’ activity, dancing around it and reenacting the act of breaking it. Additionally, as a part of the festivity the students brought various edible items from home to prepare a delicious Gopalkala, which they relished at the end of the event. The entire space was beautifully adorned with decorations with cut-outs of crowns, flute, peacock feather that were created, colored, and decorated by the students themselves, enhancing their fine motor skills and adding a personal touch to the celebration.

The Krishna Janmashtami celebration at TOS was not just an event but an enriching experience that combined cultural heritage with interactive learning, making it a memorable day for our little ones.
