The Orchid School believes that education goes beyond academic learning and plays an important role in nurturing responsible, respectful and aware citizens. With this thought, the Class VI Annual Concert was presented in the form of a Nukkad Natak on the theme “Civic Sense.”
Through humour, music, rap and relatable everyday situations, students highlighted how civic sense is reflected in the small choices we make each day. The performance brought attention to important habits such as keeping our surroundings clean, respecting public property, following queues and traffic rules, conserving water and treating community members with dignity.
The Nukkad Natak encouraged the audience to reflect on the gap between what we say and what we actually practise. It reminded everyone that responsible citizenship begins with simple everyday actions and a conscious effort to contribute positively to the community.
For our students, the concert was also a meaningful learning experience. It gave them an opportunity to express ideas creatively, build confidence, work collaboratively and understand their role as young change-makers. At TOS, such activities are designed to connect learning with real life and help students grow as locally rooted, globally competent learners.
