The D day has come .... The Orchid School once again proud to start its flagship program - Youngistaani- Innovators' Conclave 2018 !
Our Principal Namrata Majhail kicks off Youngistaani and Founders Day celebrations with wonderful words of inspiration.
The Orchid School choir warmly welcomes all guests and speakers to Youngistaani
Our guest speaker Rajiv Kher's inspiring words to the students "Don't be ashamed of doing the right thing. Addressing the sanitation condition in India is the right thing. Who could have predicted that one day my initiative would lead me to meet Bill Clinton and Salman Khan. Follow your dreams."
Our guest speaker Ganesh Kounchi, co inventor with Satish Kounchi, demonstrate the innovative foldable bike concept which and be stored in a bag.
From integrated services to 108 ambulance services to farming practices. Mr. Gaikwad has impacted many industries and changed the lives of many individuals. Truly inspiring.
The Orchid School is greatly obliged to our speakers and mentors for their valuable time at our school. Namrata Di and Sangeeta Di felicitating our esteemed guests
Students of The Orchid School Arnav Kalgutkar and Aditya Nehbrajani present the project LOS Tara that was presented at NASA
Our esteemed mentor Dr. Parag Mankeekar Social-tech Entrepreneur and Founder of Neeti Solutions addresses the students
Starting with our presentations of our innovative students fromvarious schools in Pune - WORLDLY: A smart real-time Garbage Disposal System by students of Akshara International School
WORLDLY: A smart real-time Garbage Disposal System which monitors the level of trash in the bin and alerts a control center and cleaning service when it is full using sensors, created by the student of Akshara School to solve the problem of untimely garbage pickup.
Live demo presentation of Smart Garbage Disposal System, created by Aman Pathak of Millennium School, addresses the increasing need for a real-time garbage disposal system that alerts the control centers when the bins are full, to avoid littering and maintaining hygeine. Such an inspiring presentation!
We are now watching the presentation, POWER AID that believes in serving the society by helping housing societies generate their own electricity via children's parks. The main thrust of the initiative is to generate electricity by converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. According to the students, the amount of energy produced by the housing system in a month would be sufficient enough to supply the slums for 1½ months. These brilliant innovators are from GIIS Pune.
Students of Dr. Shamrao Kalamadi High School present their innovative idea at our Innovators' Conclave . DECIBEL- The project employs an Arduino board to monitor the noise levels in classrooms and alerts when the noise levels surpass a set limit using LEDs and buzzers.
The students of Dr. Shamrao Kalmadi High School presented an innovative way to use gravity to create an alternate source of energy, GURU Urja -The Gravity Lamp that works on the principle of conversion of gravitational energy into electrical energy. The students tinkered this idea to improve the efficiency of the duration of light generated
Based on the principle of the interaction of the gravitational and electromagnetic forces on a freely suspended coil of wire brought under the influence of a magnet, the students of SES Gurukul present their idea of GAMMETER - a device that has been made to create a cheaper alternative to the currently existing altimetry (height-measuring), gravimetry (g-measuring), and magnetometry, i.e., magnet strength.
WATER PURITY METER - A very simple yet very effective idea to make portable drinking water accessible to everyone, the students of SES Gurukul use capillary tubes to judge the purity of water using only its physical properties.
Captive audience at The Orchid School Youngistaani Innovators' Conclave.
The MOBILE CHARGING CUP - The students of The Orchid School present their idea of harnessing the heat energy, which is usually wasted when we drink a hot beverage. They plan to use this energy up to generate electrical energy that can be used to charge mobile phones, by using a Peltier generator and solar panels. The whole model is designed to make it compact and easy to use.
Mentors of Youngistaani Innovators' Conclave reflect on the day's presentations and appreciate the candor, courage, hard work and genius of the students who presented their ideas today.
The Orchid School would like to take the opportunity to thank the Keynote Speakers, Mentors and Guest Speakers for their inspirational presence.
