As a part of the integrated curriculum, our Class VII students are going for an overnight rural camp to AGRI TOURISM CENTRE, PALSHI, BARAMATI. The objectives of this camp are: • to appraise all students about the socio economic milieu in a rural set up. • to make them aware of local self-governance. • create awareness among the students about the degree of rural development.
Students will be accompanied by their class teachers and subject teachers . The school has arranged to take the three sections of Class VII for the camp as per the schedule below:
• Iris --Departure – Date: 28/01/2020; Arrival – Date: 29/01/2020 • Periwinkle -- Departure – Date: 29/01/2020; Arrival – Date: 30/01/2020 • Plum -- Departure – Date: 30/01/2020; Arrival – Date: 31/01/2020
IRIS Rural Camp - Day 1 : Our Iris students reported to school on time and as planned, the team has left for the Agri Tourism Center which is a 2.5 hr drive from Pune.
IRIS Rural Camp - Day 1 - The team has reached the Agri Tourism Centre at around 9.15 AM.
Students proceed for the breakfast
IRIS Rural Camp - Day 1 : After the breakfast, students were briefed on the program planned for the day.
Students were taken to the Jaggery making factory to understand the process behind jaggery making
Students took a break for having lunch and then proceeded to the sugar factory.
Kirtan bhajan conducted by the localites and students were explained the meaning of the Bhakti songs
Periwinkle Rural Camp Day 1 : Periwinkles assembled at the school around 6.30 AM and promptly left for the Agri Tourism Center along with Deeksha Di, Nikhil Da and Anjali Di around 7 AM.
Students and teachers reached Palshi around 9.30 AM
Iris Rural Camp - Day 2 : Students had some free time in the morning after breakfast and later they went to the field to understand the ploughing process and had some fun in the tractor rides
Iris Rural Camp - Day 2 : Iris students then visited the local school and interacted with the students and teachers of the school.
Periwinkle Rural Camp - Day 1 : After some fun time at the fields, The periwinkles headed to the Jaggery making unit. Students were see engrossed understanding the jaggery making process.
Iris Rural Camp - Day 2 - After spending 2 days in learning, enjoying and experiencing rural village life, Iris students along with Purva Di, Anil Da and Kalyani Di have started their journey back to Pune. They should be reaching school around 4.30 PM
Plum- Rural Camp - Day 1 : Students assembled at the school at 6.30 AM and left for their journey at around 7.00 AM. They reached the Agri Tourism centre around 9.30 AM. Periwinkles - Rural Camp - Day 2 : Periwinkles were up early and after having their breakfast were thrilled to meet their buddies from Plum at the camp.
Plum Rural Camp - Day 1 : Students enjoyed their time with their friends while having their breakfast and planning for the day. Post breakfast the team has left for a tour of the Sugar Factory.
Plum - Rural Camp - Day 1: At around 12.30 PM, the team has reached Nandan milk Dairy.
Periwinkles - Rural Camp -Day 2 - Students visited the local school and the Gram Panchayat and had a interesting interaction with the students.
Periwinkles Rural Camp- Day 2 : After a fun filled day with lots of learning, periwinkles all set to return to TOS at Pune. The team should be reaching Pune by 6.15 PM.
Plum - Rural Camp Day 1: Children had some free time in the afternoon to relax apart from field visits and enjoying bullock cart rides with their classmates.
Periwinkles reached the school campus around 6.45 pm and parents picked up the students.
Plum - Rural Camp Day 1: Mr. Pandurang Taware addressed the students and spoke about farmers tough life, importance of farming and meaning and message of the abhangs sung by villagers
Plum - Rural Camp -Day 2 : After having a good time at the camp fire, the children went off to bed . Woke up and all geared up to go for a morning walk.
Plum Rural Camp - Day 2 : Our children got an opportunity to interact with the students of the school at Palshi. The principal of the school also gave some valuable information to our children.
Plum Rural Camp - Day 2 - The team has left for Pune from Palshi and is expected to reach school by 5 PM.
The plums reached the school safely around 5 pm on 31st Jan. Students left with their parents for home with beautiful memories and interesting learning from this unique camp.
