As part of the Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action Project (SEWA) as well as linking it with the Community Project for the year, The Orchid School had organised a field visit for students of Class X to Chaitanya Institute for Mental Health in Someshwar Wadi, Pashan.
The students of Grade X accompanied with their respective class teacher, one counselor and 2 parent volunteers visited the center class-wise between 17th and 22nd October 2019
The larger goal of this visit was to understand more about Mental Health and de-stigmatise it but the objective is also to understand how Chaitanya functions as a centre and what is the support they provide.
Following are the feedbacks of the students and some classwise images of the students
Students were also taken to their new venture of the bakery unit. Our students got a demo to understand how the bakery unit functions and provides not only a means of livelihood and independence but also a sense of fulfillment and productivity that every person associated with Chaitanya deserves.
