CLASS VI : FIELD TRIP TO ‘THE TRIBAL MUSEUM’
The students of class 6th visited The Tribal Museum, Koregaon Park on 20th August 2015. The students were shown tribal artifacts made out of bamboo and wood. They were also shown tribal ornaments made out of silver and coloured beads. Different masks made by different tribal communities of Maharashtra were also shown. They were made familiar with the set-up of a tribal village too. Various Warli paintings made by the tribes were also displayed for the kids. To end the trip, the museum screened a movie on the Pawara Tribes of Maharashtra and the teachers also gave information on the various tribal communities in India and abroad. The trip went on smoothly because of the teachers and the CPVs.
